As someone who's seen Jojo, My Hero Academia, Hunter x Hunter, etc., those shows are just much better & interesting.īlack Clover has 17 "filler" episodes out of 170 episodes and most of them are interesting and relevant to the plot. It seems to be one of those "gateway" shonens for those who haven't really seen much anime, & it sure feels like the most shonen shonen to ever shonen in shonen jump. Sure, "hokage" or "king of the pirates" would get said a decent amount, but not this often. I did a counting gag of how many times they would say Wizard King in each episode & no joke, they said it like 24 times in the 2nd episode alone. Fights aren't that interesting because the solution for the most part was "da fuck u haz anti-magic sword?! how in the world did it stop my magic?!" There's a character on the hero team who has a very creepy incest-y obsession with his sister who looks to be like 8 & he'll even get nosebleeds thinking about how much he loves her. Characters are extremely one note & my god, you will be reminded of their single trait almost every episode. Most major fights take place in bland caves I gave it 52 episodes because I was group watching it on Toonami & gave up. Having just finished all available volumes of the light novel in english, I can confirm the story goes places Human story and spider side are switched between. Most of class reincarnates as humans, but main character (who is female for what it's worth) reincarnates as a small, weak, spider monster alone in the middle of a gigantic labyrinth and needs to survive in this world with almost no info.
BLACK CLOVER FILLER SERIES
So I'm a spider so what: Isekai series where an entire class is reincarnated in a fantasy world. Has some fun jokes and is actually educational since it gives details on why animals exist the way they do (such as what evolutionary traits were needed for giraffes long necks to be viable) Heaven's design team: Fun comedy about people designing animals for god. Stone: Shonen about reviving world with SCIENCE. One Piece: Super long, but still really good, but really read the manga if you want to get into itĭr. So far the adaption is on episode 19, I think it's really underwatched since the first 2 episodes are bit underwhelming and not particularly representative due to how the manga originally started as a one shot before becoming a proper series Currently at episode 18ĭragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai: New adaption of classic shonen jump manga that ran in the 90s, It's an original story loosely based on the Dragon Quest video game series, particularly taking inspiration from 3 since it was the newest at the time the series first started running in 89.
Jujutsu Kaisen- Big Shonen, some horror elements, really well animated. Good ongoing crunchyroll shows that you might enjoy FLCL (The original only, sequels arent as good) Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt (Both seasons) Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (The first 2 seasons and the current season) Fullmetal Alchemist series (brotherhood, original and the movies) Hi-Score Girl (Season 1, Extra Stage and Season 2) Beastars Season 1 (season 2 too but havent seen it - waiting for dub) The anime is almost done by the way, there's like a few more eps left in its current run. Story imo is great especially if you like Naruto (it is the one anime I compare it to due to its similarities). I highly recommend Black Clover - MC is a bit annoying at first but he improves due to fan criticism early in the anime's life.
